1. What are GelaSkins?

GelaSkins are a very thin (< 2mm) protective cover for your iPhone, iPod, laptop and RAZR made with premium grade 3M vinyl and adhesive technology. Patented micro-channels within the adhesive allow for a bubble-free application. Each GelaSkin has an ultra-clear, scratch resistant coating for maximum durability and photo quality finish.

2. Which GelaSkin is right for me?

GelaSkins makes skins for a variety of devices and each one is slightly different.

The iPod Video GelaSkins fit the 30, 60 and 80 Gb 5th generation iPods with video.
The 2nd Gen Nano GelaSkins fit the colorful iPod Nanos (2, 4, 8 Gb).

3. Do GelaSkins protect the iPod's screen?

You betcha! Every iPod GelaSkin - with the exception of the iPod Touch GelaSkins - comes with a GelaScreen display protector. GelaScreens are cut for a seamless fit within the GelaSkin to defend your iPod screen from scratches. Many GelaScreen users have noticed that some previous scratches on their display are no longer visible after applying the GelaScreen.

We're working on an awesome new screen protector for the Touch and the iPhone that should be out around November 1st and will be available as an add on for a few dollars extra.

4. Will GelaSkins leave any mess if I want to remove them?

No.

GelaSkins' residue-free adhesion means no harm will come to your electronic devices. The patented 3M removable adhesive technology makes the GelaSkin as easy to remove as it is to apply.

5. Will my iPod or iPhone still fit in its Dock or with my iTrip?

Absolutely! Your device will still fit perfectly in its dock. GelaSkins add almost zero bulk and will not interfere with the iTrip or most other accessories.

6. Are GelaSkins reusable?

GelaSkins are designed for a single application, but if treated carefully, they may be removed, stored and applied again.

Our customers have told us that they were able to remove and reapply the same skin several times with no problems.

However, due to the special nature of the adhesive, it is necessary to put it back on its liner once removed and make sure it is pressed flat (people have found that storing them beneath a book works well). The material will remember curved surfaces, so it may be more difficult to flatten skins for the Mini, 4th Generation iPod and 2nd Gen Nano as they are a full wrap around style.

7. How can I pay for my GelaSkins?

We currently accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and PayPal. When entering your billing information, please use the exact address that appears on your credit card statement.

8. Hey, what's the deal with shipping? How long?

We do our best to process all orders within 24-48 hours of receiving them. If you place your order on a Friday or on the weekend, your order will not ship until the following business day. All shipping time estimates are calculated from the date of shipping, not the date of ordering. Orders shipped with UPS should arrive within 4-6 days of shipping*. With Standard Post please allow up to 15 business days for your skins to arrive. Most orders do arrive before then, but please be patient as the USPS/Canada Post takes time to arrive.

*The UPS option is trackable and is a more secure method for getting your package delivered quickly, but delivery times are not guaranteed.

9. I've got some ideas... can I submit designs for GelaSkins?

Yes. We are always looking to work with new artists. The first step is to submit a few images or a link to your gallery to design@gelaskins.com. If your work is something we feel fits with our line of artists, we'll contact you via email.

10. What is your return/exchange policy?

You may return your unused, unopened GelaSkin for exchange or refund within 30 days of purchase to the address below. Exchanges may only be made for products of same value. When exchanging a skin, please include in the package a note detailing which skins you'd like to receive in return.

11. Does the illuminated Apple logo shine through my GelaSkin when it's on my laptop?

Very slightly, but only when in a dark room, or if you're computing by candlelight.

12. Do your laptop skins have the Apple logo cutout?

No, sorry. Each work of art we place on a GelaSkin we feel should be presented in it's entirety.

13. Does the laptop skin cover the bottom of the laptop as well?

Nope, just the top. We wanted to make sure the heat dissipation and battery removal were uninhibited, so we decided to make just the top of your laptop sexier, and not the bottom.

14. Do GelaSkins ship to MY country?

15. How much will it cost to get my skin(s) shipped to me?

Shipping costs depend on what's in your cart, and where it's being shipped to.

16. How do I use the Wallpapers with my iPhone?

Instructions for Mac Users.

* Choose your favourite wallpaper
* Select "Download Wallpaper Set" and save it to your desktop
* Extract the images from the Zip file
* Drag your new wallpapers into iPhoto
* Create an album called "GelaSkins Wallpapers"
* Connect your iPhone to your Mac
* In iTunes, go to the Photo settings area of your iPhone and select the "GelaSkins Wallpapers" album
* Click Apply

Instructions for PC Users..

* Choose your favourite wallpaper
* Select "Download Wallpaper Set" and save it to your desktop
* Create a folder called "GelaSkins Wallpapers" and Extract the images from the Zip file into i (you can move this folder into your "My Pictures" folder)
* Connect your iPhone to your PC
* In iTunes, go to the Photo settings area of your iPhone and select the "GelaSkins Wallpapers" album
* Click Apply

17. Can I send you and image and make my own custom GelaSkin?

Custom work is a large part of what we do, but we don't make one-off custom orders. Minimum order quantities start at 50 units and apply to all custom orders. If you would like more information please contact us at business@gelaskins.
